Applications are invited for admission to the Research Programmes in Faculty of Applied Sciences leading to
M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees for the academic year 2010–11.
Both M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes are offered at P. D. Patel Institute of Applied Sciences in the Departments of Biological Sciences (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry) and Physical Sciences (Physics/Nanosciences). M.Phil. is by research and of one year duration.
Research Areas: Proteomics, Oncology, Biomarkers, Nanobiotechnology, Genetics, Bioremediation,
Bacterial Diversity, Genotoxicity, Molecular Biology, Glycobiology, Tissue Culture, Magnetorheological Fluids, Nanomagnetics, Semiconductor Nanostructures and Thin Films, Inorganic Polymer Nanocomposites, New Materials for Solar Cells, Nanomaterials, etc.

laboratories with state-of-art equipments and excellent knowledge resources.
