Project: Procurement of Macromolecular Crystallography Beamline at ESRF, France
Project Associate/SRF (Project)(one post)
Job description: Ideal applicant should be self motivated and experienced in protein crystallization and structure determination.Besides carrying out research in protein crystallography, the incumbent should assist in managing the project for data collection at BM14 beamline of ESRF, France.

QUALIFICATIONS: Project Associate: Ph. D in life sciences/biotechnology/biophysics/biochemistry or any other related field. Those who have submitted thesis are also eligible. MSc. Candidates with two years experience can be considered for the post of SRF (Project).
EMOLUMENTS:
The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules. The two different slabs for Project Associates/SRF (Project) are mentioned below:
Project Associate - Rs. 18000/- consolidated p.m. plus 30% HRA. (likely to be revised)
SRF (Project) - Rs. 14000/- consolidated p.m. plus 30% HRA

What is this all about?
Postdoctoral opening for 2 years is available for Indian Ph.D. graduates under a project funded by Indo–French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research/Centre Franco-Indien pour la Promotion
de La Recherche Avancée (IFCPRA/CEFIPRA).
Project Details:
The project involves waste derived activated carbon supported catalyst for low temperature VOC oxidation. The position will be at Unité de Catalyse et de Chimie du Solide (UCCS), University of Lille, France in collaboration with TERI, India.
Who Can Apply?
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree (graduation after 2006) or should be submitting the
1. Ph.D. thesis by April 2010.
2. Prior experience in waste derived catalysts and VOC oxidation will be preferable.
3. The candidate should have an outstanding academic record, team working skills and good communication skills.

Call for Post Doctoral Fellow to Work in France Under a Indo-French Collabrative Project with CCMB,Hyderabad
What is this all about?
CCMB, a premier R&D Institute engaged in research in the areas of modern biology, is looking for a full-time Indian postdoctoral fellow with PhD in Genetics (preferably yeast) to work in the Laboratory of Prof. Olivier Gadal, Universite Paul-Sabatier, France, under an Indo-French Collaborative Project “Epigenetics of Transcription by RNA polymerase III” funded by IFCPAR.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates should have a recent PhD in genetics, with a profile that combines molecular biology experience and cell biology research. He/she will contribute to the analysis of gene positioning in yeast. Thus, practical and theoretical experiences in research with chromatin and transcription and interest for cutting-edge imaging techniques are highly welcome.
Area of Work/Project details
The Indo-French collaborative Project is funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR) to study gene positioning using real-time imaging in living cells. Using a combination of cell biology and genetic approaches, structural players which contribute to spatial positioning of RNA polymerase III transcribed genes will be identified.
Salaray: 1850 € (salary / month) for a duration of 2 years
