IIIT Hyderabad Admissions 2010 to M.Tech/MS/Ph.D Programs
What is this all about?
International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad Admissions to M.Tech/MS/Ph.D Programmes (2010-11)
IIIT-H is inviting applications for the academic year 2010-11 from the candidates who have completed (or going to complete by July 2010) B.Tech./B.E./B.Arch. etc., in any branch of Engineering, B.Sc. in Agriculture (or equivalent), BSc in Physics, Chemistry or Biology with good Mathematics background, or M.Tech./M.E./MCA/M.Sc./M.A. for admission into Postgraduate and Research programs in the areas of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Computational Linguistics, Computer Aided Structural Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Natural Sciences (Dual-Degree & MSc), IT in Building Sciences, IT in Power Systems, Spatial Informatics (Remote Sensing and GIS), Cognitive Sciences, Humanities, and Applied Agriculture.
Admission into M.Tech., M.S. & PhD programs is very flexible at IIIT. A student with an Engineering or Science degree in any field/area can seek admission into any other field/area for higher studies. For instance, a candidate who has completed B.Tech. in Electronics/Electrical/Civil Engineering can apply for M.Tech./M.S./Ph.D in Computer Science, VLSI & Embedded Systems, and Bioinformatics.

M.Tech in Marine Biotechnology at CUSAT, Kerala | Sponsored by Department of Biotechnology
What is this all about?
National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, School of Environmental Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology offers an M.Tech. programme in Marine Biotechnology sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India under the National Network Programme in Human Resource Development in Biotechnology. The admission to the year 2010-11 has been announced. Mode of selection will be through Combined Entrance Examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Stipend/Intake
Total intake to the course is 6 and the selected candidates will be getting a stipend of Rs. 8000.0 per month.
Applications
The application form and prospectus can be obtained from National Centre for Aquatic Animal Health, Cochin University of Science and Technology on payment of Rs. 200/-.
Candidates from the State of Kerala can appear for the entrance test at Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.
Last Date for Submission
The last date of receipt of the duly filled in application form by post to the Section Officer (Admissions), Room No. 28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University or in person to drop Box in the Administrative Block of the Jawaharlal Nehru University is on or before March 15th, 2010.

What is this all about?
MSc Scientific Computing : Interdisciplinary School of Scientific Computing will be conducting the Entrance Exam for Admission
Who Can Apply?
50% at B.C.S./B.Sc. (Computer Science) (40% for Reserved categories) with all Computer Science Subject in last year and Maths upto Second year
OR
50% at B.E (Computer Science/ IT /E and TC ) (40% for Reserved categories)
Those appearing for final examination may also apply. In case of candidates obtaining equal aggregate marks at entrance examination preference will be given to candidates performing better upto final exam.50% admissions are reserved for SC/ST/NT/DT/OBC categories and 3% for physically handicapped (as per Govt. rules).
Applications and Selection Procedures
The admissions are done purely on basis of merit in Entrance Exam, which is conducted once a year.
Submission deadline: 31st January 2010
Date of Exam : 7th Feb 2010 from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Nature of the Entrance Examination
The test will be of 2 hours with approximately equal weightage to the following 4 topics. All questions will be with multiple choice questions.
1) Logical ability
2) Elementary mathematical skills including Calculus, Linear algebra, Graph plotting, Combinatorial analysis, etc.
3) Computer fundamentals and C-programming.
4) English
