Research Fellowship in Special Centre for Molecular Medicine at JNU Delhi

Dr. Prafulla K. Pani Research Fellowship
The former Director of Central Avian Research Institute (CARI), Izatnagar (U.P.) Dr. Prafulla Kumar Pani has desired to offer a short term fellowship to a suitable candidate from the interest raised from his generous donation to the ‘Special Centre for Molecular Medicine’ at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
‘Dr. Prafulla K. Pani research fellowship’ is a short term fellowship of Rs. 5,000 per month (consolidated) and is available for completing a research-based dissertation, thesis or report to be carried out at the Special Centre for Molecular Medicine (SCMM). The said fellowship is primarily for candidates having a medical background (like MBBS/BVSc). In case no suitable candidate with medical background is available, the fellowship may be awarded to a candidate having a non-medical educational background. Once awarded the fellowship may be initiated by the candidate within a year.
Application with an updated bio-data (including two letters of references and a small write up on the area of research interest) should be mailed by post at the address given below so as to reach our office

Summer Research Fellowship Program 2010 at IIT Bombay

What is this all about?
IIT Bombay Summer Internship Scheme that was funded by IRCC has been discontinued. Interested students may use the Summer Training Scheme supported by Academic office.
IIT Bombay Research Fellowship Scheme aims to attract professionals and students of proven calibre towards research activities at IIT Bombay. The awardees are expected to work on research projects and could be considered for admission into post-graduate degree / Ph.D Programs subject to fulfilling normal IIT Bombay admission requirements.
IIT Bombay Research Fellowship Scheme
The awardees will be selected based on their academic record and an interview, followed by a written test (if necessary).
They will be expected to work on research projects for a minimum period of one year in different Departments/ Schools/ Centres/ Inter-disciplinary Programs based on their academic background and research interests.
The Research Fellowship Scheme is open to B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / MBA / M.A. / M.Com. / M.Sc. / MBBS or equivalent degree, with or without experience. Students with research inclinations in Humanities, Bio-sectors, Management and with background other than the above can also apply.
The awardees with B. Tech./B.E. or M.Sc. qualification will be awarded a stipend of Rs. 8,000 - 10,000/- p.m.. Degree holders with experience may be considered for a higher amount.
Other benefits include funding for participation in national & international conferences, Library facilities, hostel accommodation and working with proven international collaborators (where applicable).
Hostel accommodation may be provided subject to availability.
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure consists of preliminary screening of online applications, followed by personal interviews to be held in a decentralized manner at the department level.
Selection criteria will include consistently brilliant academic performance (relative rank in the class/University), work carried out by the student besides his regular academic work, participation/recognition in competitions such as Techfest, Olympiads, National Talent Search Exams, and performance in the interview.
Train fare (IInd/Sleeper Class) will be given to outstation candidates , shortlisted for interview

Selection for fellowship scheme does not imply automatic registration for a PG programme. However, selection procedure for PG programme/ Fellowship Scheme can be held simultaneously.

ICMR-Post Doctoral Research Fellow (Scheme)
What is this all About?
ICMR, with its 27 state-of-the-art Institutes/Centers, is amongst the foremost research organizations in the field of Bio Medical Sciences. Over the years, the Council has helped India usher in a scientific milieu, creating and nurturing talent in many disciplines such as communicable and non communicable diseases, basic medical sciences, reproductive health including nutrition, human resource developments etc.
ICMR Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme is being instituted to foster high quality research opportunities to promising fresh PhD holders in the cutting edge areas of basic science, communicable and non communicable diseases, reproductive health including nutrition at ICMR Institutes/Centres. Special focus will be on fundamental research in areas of science and other priority areas identified by ICMR from time to time. ICMR intends to offer fifty (50) such fellowships every year for working in ICMR Institutes/Centres with state-of-art R&D facilities. These fellowships will be allocated by Director General, ICMR, depending upon the needs of the Institute /Centre.
Eligibility:
Fresh PhDs within one year of completing PhD and also those who have submitted PhD thesis. ICMR Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is open to Indian nationals only.
Tenure: Two years and extendable for maximum one more year based on outstanding performance and recommendations by the Director / Officer-in-Charge of the concerned ICMR Institutes/Centres.
Maximum Age Limit: 32 years, relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates, as on last date of application.
Remuneration:
ICMR Post Doctoral Fellows will be paid a consolidated fellowship of Rs.35,000/- per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible and a contingency grant of Rs.3.0 lakhs per annum. 25% of the contingency grant can be used for travel including per diem expenses.
Mode of Selection:
Selection of the “ICMR Postdoctoral Research Fellows” will be made through interview of short listed candidates by specially constituted Committees by Director General based on their publications, citation and its impact factor. The place of interviews will be decided by the Director General, ICMR. Eligible candidates must route their applications through the sponsoring ICMR Institutes/Centres. Applicants coming abroad may also be considered in absentia, if eligible and found suitable by the committee. Accommodation and other benefits:
Accommodation may be provided by ICMR Institutes/Centres if available. However, in such cases HRA will not be paid. ICMR Postdoctoral Fellows will be entitled for medical benefits and leave as per the ICMR rules for JRF/Research Associates.
Date’s for receiving application: Selection will be made twice in a year and this will be 31st Dec. and 30th June every year.
