The Head, Division of Agricultural Physics, IARI, New Delhi-110012, wishes to recruit one Senior Research Fellows (SRFs) purely on temporary/contractual basis in the project "Forecasting Agricultural output using Space, Agrometeorology and Land based Observations (FASAL)". The project „FASAL‟ funded by Ministry of Agriculture (Department of Agriculture & Cooperation), New Delhi. The tenure of the above posts will be up to the end of 11th five-year plan period i.e. 31.03.2012 or co-terminus with the Project. However, it may be extended further if project performance is found satisfactory by Ministry of Agriculture.The particulars of posts under this project are given below:

Educational Qualification and Experience:
Essential Qualification* Post Graduate degree (MSc/M.Tech) in Meteorology or M.Sc.(Agriculture) in Agrimet/ Ag.Phys. / Agronomy / Soil Science/ Agricultural Statistics or B.Sc.(Ag) with MCA in Computer
Science from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable Qualification Candidate with knowledge/experience in Meteorological data processing/ statistical
analysis preferred.

RA / JRF positions in Nanotechnology / Semiconductors / Material Sciences at IISc Bangalore
What is this all about?
Applications are invited for the positions of three full-time Research Associates (RA) and three fulltime
Project Assistants for a period of one to three years in two DST-sponsored projects
1. ‘Centre for nanotechnology including nanodevices’ and
2. ‘Magnetotransport studies on pulsed laser deposited ferromagnet/superconductor heterostructures and dilute magnetic semiconductors’. The initial appointment will be for one year.
Eligibility
Research Associate: Ph.D. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science with record of published work
and experience in experimental condensed Physics/Chemistry.
Junior Research Fellow: First class M.Sc. degree in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science. Candidates with good academic record and qualified for GATE/CSIR-NET/JEST will be preferred.
Fellowship:
Research Associate: Rs 22,000–24,000 + HRA depending on qualification.
Junior Research Fellow: Rs 12,000–18,000 + HRA depending on qualification.
Mode of selection: By interview
Candidates who possess the above qualifications should send their applications on a plain paper

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for the post of SRF
The Head, Division of Agricultural Physics, IARI, wishes to recruit one Senior Research Fellow in the following project purely on contractual basis. A detail of the position is given below:
Important Info:
1. Terms and conditions: The above position is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for the period of one year or period till termination of the project, whichever is less. The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment at this institute as the position is co-terminus with the project.
2. Age limit: 35 years as on the closing date of application. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates will be given as per ICAR rules.
3. The Interview of eligible candidates will be held in the room of Head, Division of Agricultural Physics, IARI, Pusa, New Delhi on 15th March, 2010 at 10.30A.M. Only the candidates having essential qualification would be entertained for the interview.
4. TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
5. Application with detailed bio-data with one colour passport size photograph pasted on it, attested copy of certificates of age and qualifications, reprints and publications, if any, and no objection certificate from present employer may be submitted to the Head, Division of Agricultural Physics at the time of interview. The candidates should also have the original grade card/ mark sheet of the essential qualification at the time of the interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
