Annamalai University
Applications are invited for the posts of one Research Scientist and one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the project entitled ‘Oil Spill Modelling’ funded by the Ministry of Earth Science (MoES), Govt of India.
Pay scale: Research Scientist Rs 36,000 p.m.;
For SRF Rs 14,000 + HRA per month.
Qualification and experience
For Project Scientist:
M.Sc. in Oceanography/Marine Science/Geology/Mathematics or M.E./ M.Tech. in
Remote Sensing/Environmental Engineering or related branch of Engineering in I class with 3 years of experience or Ph.D. in Science relating to Marine Science and Technology with 1 year of experience in GIS and mathematical modelling application for coastal process and hazards mapping. Knowledge of MIKE-21 and ARC-GIS software for coastal applications will be added advantage.
For Senior Research Fellow:
M.Sc. or M.Tech., in Geo Informatics/Remote Sensing/Marine Sciences/ Oceanography/related subject with at least 55% marks with 2 years of research experience in GIS/Mathematical Modelling for Coastal and Marine Environment relevant field of project.
