Walk in Interview for SRF in Food Engineering (Reverse Osmosis) at BHU Varanasi

WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Suitable candidates are invited to participate in Walk-in-interview for contractual appointment of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in UPCAR funded project entitled “Development of technology for reverse osmosis based mango clarified juice and juice concentrate” in Department of Farm Engineering, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in the office of the Director.
Candidate should be M.Tech./Ph.D. in Process and Food Engineering / Food Science and Food Technology / Post Harvest Engg. and Technology with 1st division. Candidates with experience of research in the area of project and computer application for data analysis will be preferred.
Position is purely temporary and upto July 2012.
The upper age limit is 30 years.
A relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be given preference as per GOI rules.
Pay and allowances for SRF is Rs. 12000/- p.m. + 15% HRA (1st and 2nd year) and Rs. 14000/- p.m. +15% HRA (3rd year).

Admissions 2010 for M.Tech | M.Pharm. Programs at BHU Varanasi

Admission to M.Tech./M.Pharm. Programmes

Who Can Apply?
Candidates who have qualified in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) (conducted jointly by the IITs and IISc. Bangalore) for M.Tech. Programmes and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) (conducted by the M.S. University of Baroda, Varodara on behalf of AICTE, New Delhi) for M.Pharm Programme and who, in addition, possess the requisite qualifications as indicated in the Brochure for the respective department/school, are eligible respectively for admission to Post-Graduate programme leading to M.Tech./M.Pharm. degree.

Candidates whose B.Tech./B.E./B.Pharm. results are not yet declared or who are due to appear in the qualifying examinations are also eligible to apply. But at the time of test/interview/counselling they will be required to produce a certificate from the institution concerned to the effect that they have completed all requirements of the qualifying examination before the date of test/interview/counselling. There should be no examination, what so ever, pending for a later date. Admission of all such candidates shall be provisional, till they produce documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination. If such evidence (mark-sheet) is not produced by 30th September, their provisional admission will stand automatically cancelled without any further notice.
Candidates have to fulfill other conditions as detailed in the respective prospectus of studies.

Fellowship/Stipend/Salaray:
All candidates (except sponsored and Foreign candidates) admitted through GATE/GPAT will be paid the fellowship as per UGC norms for the duration of the programme (24 months), so long as their progress in the programmes is satisfactory. Candidates admitted provisionally will not receive the scholarship till they submit proof of passing the qualifying examination within the specified date, i.e. September 30, of the year of admission.

Briefing about the Admission Process
The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India COMPETITIVE WRITTEN TEST for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in TWO stages: PMT-2010 SCREENING and PMT-2010 MAIN, and for BDS (38 seats), BAMS (78 seats) and B. Pharm. (33 seats) courses in ONE stage: PMT-2010 Screening. PMT-2010 SCREENING shall be held on Wednesday, the 12th May 2010 at Varanasi, Delhi, Kolkata, and Hyderabad Centres, to screen candidates for eligibility to appear in PMT-2010 MAIN examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 13th June 2010 at Varanasi Centre only. For BDS/BAMS/B.Pharm. courses, candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit in the PMT-2010 SCREENING only.

DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS: M.B.B.S.(84 seats) : General - 42; OBC – 23; SC – 13 and ST – 6; BDS (38 seats): General – 19; OBC – 10; SC – 6 and ST – 3; BAMS (78 seats) : General – 36; Foreign National – 3; OBC – 21; SC – 12 and ST – 6; B.Pharm. (33 seats): General – 17; OBC – 9; SC – 5 and ST – 2. Three percent seats are reserved for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates in all the categories of the above courses.

Who Can Apply?
Passed Intermediate, 10+2 or equivalent examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Zoology + Botany) taken together; (i) For MBBS/BDS/BAMS – a minimum of 50% for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates; (ii) For B.Pharm. – a minimum of 60% marks for General, OBC and respective PC candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST and respective PC candidates. Candidates appearing in qualifying examination may also apply.

Age: Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2010 (Candidates born after 1st January, 1994 and on or before 31st December, 1985 need not apply).
