Vacancy for the Post of JRF in College of Engineering Pune, Pune Applications are invited to work on two research project funded by Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Dept of Atomic Energy, Govt of India.
Name of the projects:
1. Disturbance observer based control for uncertain plants with application to control of a snake robot
2. Design and development of iris recognition system – a biometric application
Name of the posts:
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Control Systems.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – Image Processing.
Project duration: Three years.
Essential qualifications: B.E./B.Tech. (Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Electronics, Electrical). A strong intention towards control engineering/control systems/modelling and simulation with hands on experience in MATLAB.
Emoluments: Rs 16,000 per month.
Candidate possessing the requisite qualifications may submit their applications with complete bio-data mentioning the e-mail and contact details on pds.instru(at)coep.ac.in within two weeks from the date of this notification.
Note: The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview. The date of the interview will be intimated by e-mail. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the project titled: ‘Resummation Methods and their Applications in Quantum Chromodynamics’ under Dr Anuradha Misra, Department of Physics, University of Mumbai, Santacruz (E), Mumbai 400 098, supported by the Department of Atomic
Energy/Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Government of India (DAE-BRNS).
Qualifications: M.Sc. Physics of recognized University with a first class, consistently good academic record and two years research experience in Theoretical High Energy Physics. Knowledge of Quantum Chromodynamics
Phenomenology is desirable. Knowledge of computer progamming is essential.
Period of project: 3 years.
Emoluments: Rs 18,000 per month for first two years and Rs 20,000 per month for third year (consolidated) + HRA as per the rule of DAE-BRNS.
Interested candidates should send the curriculum vitae along with testimonials to the principal investigator. The interview date will be informed to the short listed candidates. Associate @ Rs 16,000 p.m.) or SRF (Senior Research Fellow @ Rs 14,000 p.m.) to work in the
BRNS/BARC/DAE sponsored research project for a three-year period, in N.I.T.K. Surathkal. Minimum
eligibility is M.Tech./M.E. degree with competence in computer programming for numerical
computations for SRF (plus two years of relevant experience for RA). The fellowship is for a period of
three years and coterminous with the duration of the project. Further, there is possibility for the
candidate to register for Ph.D. at N.I.T.K.
