What is this all about?
Important Info:
Age: Maximum 35 years for Project Asstt and 40 years for RA. Upper Age limit relaxable by 5 years incase of women candidates (Relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Exserviceman/ women as per govt. rule).
The above positions are purely temporary and will be made for a period of one year or period till termination of their projects which ever is less. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this institute as the positions are co-terminus with respective Project/ Schemes.
Eligible candidates may appear in interview on 8th March 2010 at 10.00 AM-1.00 PM along with application form

Research Positions in Agriculture/Entomology at ICRISAT, Hyderabad
Invites applications for the following positions at ICRISAT,Hyderabad
SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (Entomology) – Responsibilities: Execute studies on insect biology, ecology and
insect–host plant interactions; execute experiments on host plant resistance to insects under field conditions;
carry out work on integrated pest management under field conditions; insect rearing and handling of chemicals and equipment in the laboratory; provide support to scientists/students in the lab/field.
Requirements: M.Sc. in Entomology with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
SCIENTIFIC OFFICER – Responsibilities: Assisting in multi-disciplinary team of scientists to undertake onfarm
action research in the area of integrated watershed management and productivity enhancement on farmers
fields in different districts of Madhya Pradesh; execution of planned research activities, conducting field trials,
collection and analysis of data, reporting of results and preparation of draft reports of the work undertaken.
Requirements: M.Sc. Agriculture with preferred specialization in Agronomy, Soil Science or other related
disciplines with 1–2 years experience working in research for development will be preferable.
RESEARCH ASSOCIATE – Responsibilities: To conduct on-station and on-farm research and development trials for enhancing the productivity of Sweet Sorghum under National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) in Andhra Pradesh.
Requirements: M.Sc. Agriculture or M.Tech. or Postgraduate in related field with 1–2 years of relevant
experience.
