Temporary Position for a) Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF) b) Junior/Senior Research Fellow(JRF/SRF)
Who Can Apply?
a)The candidate should be a Ph. D. degree holder with adequate working experience in Food Technology /Food Engineering/ Post Harvest Engineering /Food Science related projects. Persons who have submitted Ph. D. thesis may also apply.
b) For JRF- Bachelor degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Process & Food Engineering or allied subjects with adequate experience.
for SRF-Masters degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Dairy & Food Process Engineering / Post Harvest Engineering or allied subjects with adequate experience.
The incumbent research fellows shall be required to carry out research work in the areas such as extension of shelf life of perishable food commodities and process technology and / or machinery development for production of RTE foods.
JRFs & SRFs shall be allowed to register for MS / Ph D subject to their fulfillment of the requirements for MS / Ph D admission of IIT Kharagpur.

Temporary Position for Senior Research Fellow | SRF at IIT Kharagpur in Dept. of Agrl. & Food Engg.
Who Can Apply?
a) M.Tech.(Post Harvest Engg./Dairy & Food Engg./Agricultural Structures & Process Engg./Food Process Engg./Post Harvest Process & Fd Engg./ Food Technology or any other similar discipline) with First division/60% marks/equivalent overall grade point average having B.Tech./B.E. in Agrl. Engg./ Mech. Engg. /Chem. Engg./Food Technology.Desirable : 1) Working experience with analytical equipment and/or Statistical analysis/AutoCAD/Pro E software packages; 2) Published research papers, exposure to research on design and development of processing equipment, product development, properties of food materials etc.
b) M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biochemistry with First Class (or 6.5 CGPA in the 10 pt. scale) OR B.Sc. with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics with valid GATE/NET/CSIR (LS) Score with at least one year post M.Sc. Research Experience.
