Tenure : Both the positions are purely temporary, renewable every year, and may continue until early 2014 (the end of project) based on satisfactory performance.

Lab Attendant (1 No.) (UR)
Essential Qualification High School / 8th class with relevant experience
Desirable Lab Experience for 1 to 2 years
Age 28 years, Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the GOI Rules
Consolidated Salary Rs.5695/-p.m. (fixed). Without any other allowances.
Tenure Two years
The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience and caste along with a photo and set of photo copies duly attested while attending the Walk-in-Interview.

Project Office Associate (02)
Essential Qualification : B Tech/BE/MCA/MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Desirable: Two years working experience with proficiency of programming using Visual C++/ Visual Basic/Visual Java. Experience in Office Automation Software Development and Database Administration will be an added advantage.
Initial Consolidated Salary: ` 12,000/- PM. + HRA 20% with a provision

Project Lab Assistant (05)
Essential Qualification: BSc or equivalent

General Term and Condition:
1) The posts are initial for a period of one year and further extendable on yearly basis based on continuation of research project.
2) The posts are purely contractual and temporary and for a maximum period of 3 to 5 years duration.

1. Research Scientist / System Analyst : (1 post)
Consolidated Salary ` 15000/- to  ` 18000/- p.m.
Essential qualifications: B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in any branch of science and engineering. Solid knowledge and experience of Linux is a must.  The applicant must also have systems administration experience.
Experience and knowledge about parallel or distributed computing environments used for scientific computing will be an added advantage.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience with batch schedulers and queue optimization; Experience with high-performance networking equipment and cabling requirements, system design, and implementation

Duties:
Perform routine system administration tasks such as OS installation,  patching, backups, upgrades and system restarts for large HPC clusters, Servers & other graphics etc. facilities. Perform routine hardware and software installation as needed. Duty also includes hardware and software troubleshooting to make the clusters / Servers run continuously. This position may require  flexible support and response to emergency situations to resolve problems.
Systems Include :
All servers, clusters at the Schools.
Maintaining qualities of PCs of the School and Software installations.

2. Scientific Programmer/Programmer : (2 posts)
Consolidated Salary ` 12000/- p.m
Essential qualifications: B.E./B.Tech./MCA Apart from good programming skills, the  candidates should have expertise in some of the following  areas: Network maintenance and administration, Experience in LINUX  and WINDOWS,  In- House LAN maintenance, Servers & PCs maintenance  and administration.
Knowledge/experience with one or more key programming languages such as C, C++, PHP, Perl, Unix shell scripting and application development environments relevant to supercomputing programming,
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in parallel programming (MPI/PVM) is a plus. Experience in Storage Architectures such as SAN, SAS, FC, SATA etc. 
Duties:   Installation of Software, Parallelization & Cluster implementation.  Development and implementation of software, websites and servers.

3. Computer Lab Assistant : (1 post)
Consolidated Salary ` 8000/- p.m.
Essential qualifications: 10+2(science) with computer course/Diploma from a recognised institute. Knowledge of  PC Hardware/Networking.  
Desirable Qualifications: Relevant work experience.  
Duties:  Duties involve upkeep/maintenance/proper connectivity/cleaning of lab equipment and any other duties as may be assigned by Dean - SC & IS from time to time.  One off day in a week will be admissible. 

These positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year but may be extended based on performance. CCBB, JNU may select candidates against the post depending upon qualification and experience of candidates and reserves the right to relax any of the qualifications in case the candidate is found otherwise well qualified by the Selection Committee.
