Duration: for a period of four years (up to 31.03.2015).
Qualification: M.Sc. in Marine Geology/Applied Geology/Geology/ESRM/Marine Science with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH) or M.Phil. in related subject. Candidates may send their applications through e-mail or by post so as to reach the undersigned.
Fellowship amount: Rs.8,000/- p.m.

professional and academic certificates are invited from Indian nationals for One post of RA (Research
Associate @ Rs 16,000 p.m.) or SRF (Senior Research Fellow @ Rs 14,000 p.m.) to work in the
BRNS/BARC/DAE sponsored research project for a three-year period, in N.I.T.K. Surathkal. Minimum
eligibility is M.Tech./M.E. degree with competence in computer programming for numerical
computations for SRF (plus two years of relevant experience for RA). The fellowship is for a period of
three years and coterminous with the duration of the project. Further, there is possibility for the
candidate to register for Ph.D. at N.I.T.K.

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow in a research project entitled ‘Evaluation
of Radiation Resistance of Rare Earth Oxide Thin Films’. The fellowship is tenable for three years with an emolument of Rs 12,000 p.m. for the first two years and Rs 14,000 for the third year.
Qualifications: The applicant should have a First class Master’s degree in Materials Science/Physics (preferably with a specialization in Solid State Physics)/Engineering with a consistently good academic background. The work involves setting up and maintenance of RF sputtering unit.
