Anveshan 2010 Research Convention to Encourage Young Researchers and Commercialize Research Projects

What is this all about?
Anveshan-2010 3rd Research Convention (West Zone)
The Association of Indian Universities has taken up a pioneering initiative to organize student research conventions for the aspiring researchers throughout the country. These conventions aim at identifying the young and rising talents who would be promoted through proper encouragement and incentives. Also an attempt shall be made to commercialize their research projects with industrial collaboration. The endeavor may accelerate scientific research and innovation and their application towards community development percolating to the grassroot level.
Organized by Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi And The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
Eligibility for participation
• Postgraduates who have completed the degree with good second Division and enrolled in Research
• Candidates appearing in final year exam of Masters Programme
• Interested Junior Lecturers may also be allowed to participate and present their project proposals in the Research Convention
Areas/Fields
The areas/fields in which projects (individual projects only) are invited: (i) Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology) and related disciplines, (ii) Allied Sciences (Bio chemistry,
Bio physics, Biotechnology, Environmental science, Energy Science, Bio informatics, Computer science, Genetics, Micro Biology, Electronics, Nano-Science and related disciplines, (iii) Engineering and Information Technology and related disciplines. Entries of the research projects will be purely Institutional, endorsed and signed by the competent authority of the university. Projects on the above mentioned areas must have undergone some exploration/ ground work in order to show its impact.
Last date for entry is 30th May 2010.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN BIOSTATISTICS YEAR 2010 - 2011
Growing need of Statisticians in clinical research especially in pharmaceutical companies, medical research institutes (Including Ayurvedic Institutes) environmental issues have redefined the role of statistician, which calls for a better understanding of life science and mathematical science subject together in order to take up the challenges of research and development in the area of health sciences. The proposed PG course is an attempt to cater such need and to encourage the co-operative efforts among members in education, research, industry and business.It is a two years course.
Who Can Apply?
Bachelor's degree in
any discipline in Science, Engineering or Pharmacy.(Minimum 40% marks in the qualifying exam.). Those appearing in degree exam can also apply. However admission of a selected student
will be conformed only after submission of the result of the degree
