Why this Seminar? Science and Technology are the driving force of a nation’s development. Becoming a developed nation is
possible only when the women force make matching contributions in science and technology. This seminar is
being organized to motivate faculty members from different fields of science and technology to carryout
high end research in their respective fields.
Objectives:
(i) To edify the participants with the expertise of renowned personalities from diverse fields
followed by a panel discussion.
(ii) To motivate women researchers.

National seminar on Marine Biotechnology is being organised by the Centre for Development of Marine Biotechnology, School of Marine Sciences, CUSAT,Cochin, during 25-27 March 2010 at the School of Marine Sciences . The seminar will cover the latest developments and applications of marine biotechnology and its implications to the management of marine environments

The main objective of the seminar is to initiate and stimulate comprehensive discussions on current developments in Marine Biotechnology and hence to provide a common platform for the researcher and scientist to discuss and interchange their ideas for the development of the country and also for the scientific community.

The abstract not exceeding 300 words should be informative. The paper will be selected on evaluation of abstract for presentation.Abstracts for Poster Presentations are invited in the following subject area:

Computational Fluid Dynamics
Modeling simulation
Nano catalysis
Biochemical Engineering
Green Chemistry and Engineering
Drug delivery system
However, there is no rigid boundary and the poster could also be made in a related area

Acceptance of abstract: 15.03.2010
Registration Fee
Registration fee covers conference kit and conference attendance certificate.
