Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Research Associate and one position of Junior Research Fellow in a collaborative research project with Central Coir Research Institute, Alappuzha, funded by Coir Board, Govt. of India on "Genetic Manipulation of 'Coirret' - for application on coir for quality improvement" in the Laboratories of Dr. Sabu Thomas and Dr. K Hari
Krishnan.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
a) Research Associate: Ph.D in Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering/Microbiology with experience in Genetic manipulation of bacteria. Publications in peer reviewed journals are desirable.
b) Junior Research Fellow: Candidates must have a Masters Degree in Life Sciences with at least 60% marks. AGE
a) Research Associate: Below 35 years
b) Junior Research Fellow: Below 28 years
EMOLUMENTS
a) Research Associate: ` 16,000 /- (consolidated per month).
b) Junior Research Fellow: ` 12,000 /- + 15% HRA per month.
Duration: Two years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier). Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview. Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format (www.rgcb.res.in/downloads/adv.doc) with a copy of full resume and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to reach the undersigned. The envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, the advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise).
As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
In the event of more than 10 candidates being short listed, a written test will be done before the selection interview.
