Required qualification : M.Sc. in Chemistry with at least 55% marks.
Fellowship : Rs 16,000
Tenure : 3 years or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier.

of Rs 200 drawn in favour of the ‘Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan’ must be enclosed.

The University of Burdwan started on 15th June, 1960, with Sukumar Sen, an ICS, as its first Vice
Chancellor. There are now about 22 Post – Graduate departments in various disciplines. The University of
Burdwan entrusted the Department of Computer Science to organize this International Conference.
About the Department:
The Department of Computer Science offers AICTE approved MCA (Master of Computer Application)
course, of 3 years duration, with total 20 no. of seats per batch.
About the Conference:
The Department of Computer Science is arranging the International Conference on Computing and
Systems, 2010 (ICCS – 2010) during 19 – 20 November, 2010.
Call for Papers:
Paper should be composed in Times New Roman font with font size 10 using MS – Word (either in .doc or
in .docx format). Paper should be of maximum page count of 06 (six) (double column & 1 ½ length line
space). Abstract should be written within 100 words (maximum). Abstract must be sent in softcopy within
20th August, 2010. Abstract and Full Paper should be submitted in soft copy within 20th September, 2010
at bu.iccs2010@gmail.com. Papers are invited in the following fields:

- Forms may be had from the University Sales counter on production of relevant mark-sheet and on payment of Rs. 150/- in cash. Forms may also be obtained by post from Sr. Supdt., Sales and Information Unit, Burdwan University, Rajbati, Burdwan -713104 by sending documents for basic eligibility, a self addressed stamped envelop of Rs. 30/- only (23 cm. X 13 cm.) and a D.D. of Rs. 150/- drawn in favour of the ‘FINANCE OFFICER, BURDWAN UNIVERSITY’ payable at SBI, Burdwan University Branch.
- Forms will be issued from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from 10.06.10 to 30.06.10 (excluding Sunday & Holidays). Filled in forms must reach the office of the Secretary, Faculty Council (Science) latest by 30.06.2010.

ADMISSION NOTICE FOR Ph.D. PROGRAMME
Applications in prescribed form obtainable at the University Sales Counter, Rajbati, Burdwan (and not by post) on payment of Rs. 200/- in cash and on production of original or attested copy of mark sheets of Masters Examination, between 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on all working days are invited for admission to Ph.D.
Programme during the year 2010-2011 in the subjects mentioned below from 12.05.2010 to 11.06.2010. Subject wise tentative intake capacity is also mentioned below within brackets.
Science and Technology Subjects: Chemistry (40), Comp.Sc. (11), Botany (14), I.S.E. (17), Env.Sc. (8), Physics (25), Mathematics (14), Statistic (15), Microbiology (10), Bio-Technology (10), Zoology (24), Geography (3)
Eligibility: Any candidate who possesses required Masters Degree in above subjects or in allied subject may apply for admission to the Ph.D. Programme.
Reservation: As per Govt. Rules.Information sheet to be issued along with application form will contain other relevant details.
