ADMISSION NOTICE FOR Ph.D. PROGRAMME
Applications in prescribed form obtainable at the University Sales Counter, Rajbati, Burdwan (and not by post) on payment of Rs. 200/- in cash and on production of original or attested copy of mark sheets of Masters Examination, between 11a.m. to 2 p.m. on all working days are invited for admission to Ph.D.
Programme during the year 2010-2011 in the subjects mentioned below from 12.05.2010 to 11.06.2010. Subject wise tentative intake capacity is also mentioned below within brackets.
Science and Technology Subjects: Chemistry (40), Comp.Sc. (11), Botany (14), I.S.E. (17), Env.Sc. (8), Physics (25), Mathematics (14), Statistic (15), Microbiology (10), Bio-Technology (10), Zoology (24), Geography (3)
Eligibility: Any candidate who possesses required Masters Degree in above subjects or in allied subject may apply for admission to the Ph.D. Programme.
Reservation: As per Govt. Rules.Information sheet to be issued along with application form will contain other relevant details.
Application Form and Information Sheet may also be downloaded from our website: Downloaded filled up application form has to be submitted along with a demand draft of Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of “ Finance Officer, The University of Burdwan” and payable at SBI, Burdwan.
Candidates willing to submit the forms on the day of issue are advised to bring with them all academic credentials along with two duly attested recent passport size self photograph. Candidates who have already applied for pre-registration eligibility test during the year 2009-2010 as well as candidates who after clearing eligibility test could not get registration for Ph.D. on and before 11.07.2009 need not apply again. However, such a candidate is advised to submit an application in plain paper to the Office of the Secretaries, Faculty Council Arts & Science, B.U. expressing his/her willingness to appear at the test for admission to the Ph.D. Programme to be conducted during the year 2010-2011 and in the said application he/she is also advised to state his/her reservation status, added academic qualification, if any, with supporting documents and to collect information sheet as per mode stated earlier.
Last date of issue and submission of prescribed University form & submission of plain application form is 11.06.2010
