NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE ON PLANT BIOTECHNLOGY
Walk‐in interview to select candidates for the following positions. Desirous candidates may report for interview at 10:00 A.M. on 24th May 2010 in the committee room, first floor, National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology, LBS Building, Pusa Campus, New Delhi‐ 110012 along with five copies of Bio‐data and original certificates/testimonials.

Research Associate(One Post)
Fellowship per Month: Rs. 18000+30% HRA for Ph.D. or Rs. 17000+30% HRA for M.Sc.(Unrevised)
Qualifications:
Ph.D in Molecular Biology or any branch of Life Sciences with research experience in gene cloning/transcriptome profiling/ genome sequencing/ marker development and use for gene or QTL mapping/other relevant molecular experience or M.Sc in any of the subjects above with 1st division or 60 % marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least 2 years research experience as evident from Fellowship / Associateship / Training/other engagements. Published research papers
will be desirable.
Project Title: ICAR Network Project on “Functional genomics of Alternaria blight resistance and drought tolerance in Brassica”
Duration: Till March 2012

Senior Research Fellow (One Post)
Fellowship per Month: Rs. 14, 000+30% HRA (Unrevised)
Qualifications: Masters degree in Molecular Biology or any branch of Life Sciences with research experience as evident from fellowship/ associateship/traineeship in gene cloning/functional validation of genes/ plant genetic transformation/ other relevant molecular techniques.

Research Associate(One Post)
Fellowship per Month: Rs. 18000+30% HRA (Unrevised)
Qualifications: Ph.D in Molecular Biology or any branch of Life Sciences with research experience in gene cloning/TILLING/gene expression analysis/other relevant molecular experience as evident from fellowship/associateship/traineeship and published papers in standard journals.
Project Title: DBT funded Project on “Generation, characterization and use of EMS induced mutants of upland variety Nagina‐22 for functional genomics of rice”
Duration: Till November 2012
