WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (One Post) UNDER DST PROJECT
DST Project entitled “Characterization of the specific polypeptide(s) in Culex quinquefasciatus (Filariasis vector) causing resistance against biopesticides in mosquito vector control”.
Qualifications
(i) Essential: Master’s degree in Zoology/Entomology/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/Microbiology with a minimum of 55% of marks and two years of research experience in relevant field.
(ii) Desirable: 1.
Hands on experience in molecular biological techniques applicable to isolation and characterization of biological molecules.
2. Candidates who have been declared successful at NET/GATE.
3. Qualified in the Entrance examination conducted by Pondicherry University 2009-10 for Ph.D Admission.
Job requirement: To conduct research in the field of characterization of polypeptide (s) in mosquitoes causing resistance against bio-pesticides.
Salary: Rs.14,000/-p.m. (Consolidated) + HRA admissible as per existing DST Guidelines.
Age limit: Below 35 years and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC Candidates, as per Govt. of India rules in force.
Venue: Vector Control Research Centre (ICMR), Indira Nagar, Medical Complex, Pondicherry-605006.
Interview Date: 26th May 2010 between 9-00 AM TO 12.00 NOON
