Zoology Project Assistant | JRF Vacancy at NEERI Nagpur
(Applied Aquatic Ecosystem Division)
Applications are invited on plain paper for engagement as Jr. Research Fellow / Project Assistant- Level-II on behalf of the sponsor as per following details:
Project Title : “Fish melanophores as cytosensors”
Prescribed Educational : Essential : M.Sc.in Zoology Qualification with minimum 55 % of marks
Desirable : Experience in histological analysis /tissue culture
Age : Below 28 years (Age relaxation upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates)
Job Requirement : Field visit, Histology, Laboratory analysis,Tissue culture etc.
Fixed Remuneration (p.m.) : Rs. 12,000/- + HRA for JRF; Rs. 12,000/- for PA II
No. of positions : 1
The engagement is purely on a temporary basis (for about 3 years) which may be extended or curtailed
depending on the duration of the sponsored project, satisfactory performance/conduct of the appointee. The
engagement will be co-terminus with the project duration. The engagement shall not be an appointment in
CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit for
consideration for regularization/absorption.

Applicants are to appear for a personal interview before the Selection Committee on June 16, 2010 at
11.00 am in Room No. 106 in Applied Aquatic Ecosystem Division. No TA will be admissible for appearing the interview. No Separate interview call letter will be issued. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed
educational qualification will not be interviewed.No interim inquiries will be entertained in this regard. Canvassing, in any form, will disqualify the candidate.
