Recruitment for the post of Research Associate
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country. Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position under the funded research scheme:
“Synthesis of Expanded , Carba and Pyridine Derivatives of Isophlorins”
Funding Agency: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi
Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. in Chemistry from recognized University / Institute and M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks / equivalent grade. Candidates who have defended Ph.D. thesis successfully and awaiting result may also apply.Preference will be given to those candidates having experience in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and/or single crystal x-ray diffractometre to solve crystal structures.
Job Requirements: Ability to do organic syntheses and to characterize molecules through single crystal x-ray diffraction, NMR and mass spectroscopy.
Fellowship: Rs. 16000/- + 20% HRA p.m. as per the CSIR norms.
No of Post: One
Tenure of the post: Initially for a period of two years extendable for further period of one year subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the scheme.
Age: 35 (Shall not exceed as on the closing date of advertisement)
