Applications are invited from the under-graduate and post-graduate students of mathematical, physical, chemical and biological sciences/ Engineering of the allied discipline of Indian Universities/Institutes/Colleges for the posts of Summer Project Fellow at IACS. Each Fellowship is tenable for two months and may be availed during the period 15th May to 15th August 2010.
The gross emoluments for the Fellowship for the under-graduate and post-graduate students are Rs. 3000/- per month and Rs. 5000/- per month, respectively. Please apply to the Dean (Academic) at sprf [AT] iacs.res.in giving the following details:

Applications are invited for Research Associate in the DST funded Indo-EU Project entitled “Moldeling of Nano-Scaled Advanced Materials Intelligently” (MONAMI) tenable at the Department of Solid State Physics, Raman Center for Atomic, Molecular & Optical Sciences and Center for Advanced Materials in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700032. This is a collaborative research project among six institutes from India and six institutes from Europe requiring state-of-the-art multi scale simulations of nano systems. The present project will employ both quantum as well as classical simulation tools to understand the physics of nanomaterials at varying length scales. Fellowship:
Rs.16,000/- plus HRA for R.A.( fellowship will be enhanced shortly as per DST norms)
The candidate who has submitted the Ph.D. thesis will be offered SRF (extended) at a stipend of Rs.15,000/- p.m. He will be offered RA after getting Ph.D. degree. Such candidate must submit necessary documents as proof of submission of thesis.
